Adriatic Shipyard Bijela

Established in 1927, Adriatic Shipyard Bijela is the largest ship repair company in the Adriatic. This yard is becoming a major presence in the European ship repair market.
Having recently privatized half of the of the yards ownership, many strides in improving productivity have been made in the last 5 years.
Throughout the year a great amount of work was attained through the company: Tanker Pacific Management in Singapore. Adriatic Shipyard Bijela has repaired a total of five vessels operated by Tanker Pacific Management, since January of 2007. The name of the five vessels are the following: M/T Andaman Sea, M/T Queensway, M/T Northway, M/T Coral Sea, M/T Bering Sea.
The shipyard is equipped for repairing and reconstruction of all vessel types up-to a 120,000 deadweight, and for all purposes.
The yard has been especially successful with major steel repairs for tankers & bulker surveys. In the US market, Genmar has been a repeat customer. The Genmar Pericles, Genmar Agamemnon, Genmar Minotaur were all completed their in 2005/2007. OSG recently docked the Overseas Marylin as well.
In addition, Adriatic Shipyard Bijela has an excellent machine shop. Bijela has repaired two ships from each of the following companies that are old clients of theirs’: Zodiac Maritime Agencies – GB, Dabinovic SAM- Monaco, Orion Schiffahrts – Germany and B-Navi – Italy. Apart from these, there are a number of other well established clients of which have attended the yard.

- 250m x 44m x 9.7m (floating)
- 1,120m length (operating wharf)
The Adriatic Shipyard Bijela is also equipped for building smaller maritime objects such as barges, with or without own drives, pontoons, and work platforms.
New companies with which Bijela has established cooperation for the first time in the course of this year are: Unicom Management Services – Cyprus, OSG Ship Management – USA, First Baltic Ship Management – Estonia, Kristen Navigation – Greece, Wallem Ship Management – USA and Ventouris Enterprises – Greece.
