Detyens Shipyards, Inc., located in North Charleston, South Carolina, is a privately held company that offers a full range of services from routine dockings to conversions. Detyens Shipyards, Inc. has recently worked on four vessels: the Libra J and Panabo, managed by Reederei; the T&T Express, managed by Bay Ferries; and the Onego Forester, managed by KW-Bereederungs.
The Libra J, managed by Reederei, was in dock for the 10 year class renewal. The vessel is 145m x 23m. Not only did the Libra J have the 10 year class renewal, but the vessel also was docked for rubber and blasting renewal, changing of the luffing wires and had 13 hatch covers repaired.
The Onego Forester, managed by KW- Bereederungs, was in dock for 43 days. The vessel is 132m x 19m. The Onego Forester was docked for bushing renewals, rudder repair, hull washing and painting as well as seavalve overhauls.
The Panabo, managed by Reederei, was in dock for 13 days. The vessel is 120m x 19m. The Panabo was docked for the 3rd class renewal, as well as, engine repair, seavlave repair, hull painting and welding works on cranes and hatch covers.
The T&T Express, managed by Bay Ferries, was in dock for 19 days. The vessel is 91m x 26m. The T&T Express, also known as, INCAT 046, was in dock for hull cleaning, hull painting and shell plate repairs.
