Completed Dockings of 3 Vessels

Detyens Shipyards, Inc., located in Charleston, SC has recently completed dockings of 3 vessels: Amazon River, Cold Stream and the Echo. These projects represent our first foray into The Netherlands market.
Detyens Shipyards, Inc. has recently docked the Amazon River managed by Universal Marine. The Amazon River was in dock for tail shaft renewal, seachest cleaning, underwater survey, shaft seal repairs and assisted with the engine overhaul. The Amazon River measures 147.87 m x 25.45 m x 11.5 m.
Detyens Shipyards, Inc. has also docked the Echo managed by JR Shipping. The Echo measures 149 m x 22.7 m x 11.3 m and was docked in February 2009. The Echo had docked at DSI for propeller repairs, tank cleaning, certification inspection and engine overhaul. Work also included; removal of the AC unit under the aft deck, repair of hydraulic hatch cover cylinders, routine dry-dock maintenance items, ballast tank sounding tubes, cleaning of heating fuel oil pipes and air cooler work.

Detyens Shipyards, Inc. recently completed the docking of the Cold Stream managed by Seatrade. The Cold Stream measures 140 m x 22 m x 13.4 m. Work included; steering rams, exhaust stack renewal, hatch cover cylinders, hatch cover combings, hatch cover steel renewal, shaft seals, routine dry-dock maintenance items and engine room maintenance.
Detyens has dock availability starting August 20, 2009 on all docks.
